Do you make the same mistakes as Wal-mart and Seth Godin?

Seth Godin wants to know why more folks don’t buy compact fluorescent bulbs. He does a compelling job of selling their benefits and provides a link directly to Wal-Mart, where you can learn even more about the bulbs and their benefits. He encourages bloggers to spread the word. So why don’t more folks buy them?

Find the “Buy CF Bulbs” call-to-action on Seth’s blog or on Wal-mart. It’s OK. I’ll wait.

Couldn’t find it, huh? Maybe that’s got something to do with why people don’t buy more of the bulbs? E-commerce needs more than just a great story. And marketing without effective distribution is a waste of marketing.

By the way, you can buy CF bulbs here. And you should.
