Techcrunch: MSNBC acquires Newsvine

Michael Arrington reports that MSNBC has acquired Newsvine in an all cash deal (dollar value undisclosed).

I don’t comment on these sorts of deals that often, but given that I predicted this sort of acquisition last year, why not grab a little glory on this one? I stand by the original reasons for predicting these types of deals and suspect that this may signal an uptick in these activities among both MSM and new media types as the year winds down.
