Will CNet buy TechCrunch?
It’s been quite a week for my new media/MSM consolidation prediction. MSNBC bought Newsvine for an undisclosed sum and the rumor mill has CNet acquiring TechCrunch for as much as $100MM. I’d be hard-pressed to call that a “micro-deal,” and even Blodget re-examines that valuation. Still, smoke often signals fire, so I’d continue to watch what’s going on here.
