Ideaspotting – Book review of the week (ish)

Have you ever been stuck deep in a creative hole, facing a deadline, with no idea where your next idea is coming from? Wouldn’t it be great to have a muse sitting nearby who could shake you out of your funk?

Sam Harrison might be the guy you’re looking for. His recent book, "Ideaspotting: How to Find Your Next Great Idea" provides a wealth of techniques designed to stimulate creativity and to keep it from drying up in the first place. Well-designed for skimming, Harrison’s text belongs close at hand for writers, designers, artists, musicians, chefs, marketers… The book is a light read, one that you could easily get through in a couple hours. Unless, of course, you find yourself putting it down every 15 minutes because you got a great idea. Check it out.
