Death of an icon…

Captain America is dead. A beloved icon of my childhood is no more. While the boy I once was mourns, the man I am today feels strangely proud. Here’s why:

Wild, huh? Nobody cared until Marvel had the guts to rethink the character. Suddenly, Captain America is relevant again. Maybe companies should do the same when thinking about their brands.

So Captain America’s death leads me to two questions:

  1. How often did someone blog about your business today?
  2. What are you prepared to do about it?
