Sure, there are signs the economy is picking up. Are you ready to get on the front side of it? What are you going to do first? Here’s my tip: Do something. Seriously. Pick one thing and do it. But you probably knew that already. So, instead, what should you do? Here are a few options:
- You can advertise your business on one of the 1,000 top sites on the web. It’s a bit of a shot across the bow of services like Compete.com and Quantcast. But I’m all about competition.
- I’ve always loved CopyBlogger’s Landing Page Makeover Clinics. They’re filled with great tips for the sites involved. And, even better, those tips will typically work well for your site, too. Pick any one of the items on their latest landing page makeover and try it on your site. Or A/B test it against your current site for the best results.
- Of course, it’s not uncommon for people to be overwhelmed by data and unclear on what to do first. Fortunately, SEOmoz has a great, 20-minute Google Analytics tutorial. Pair that with my guide to what you should fix first, and you’re in business.
- The key, though, is to do something. Anything. Worrying about what to do is a recipe for failure. Seth Godin says it best: “Searching for more proof is futile. Searching for more determination makes more sense.”
Enjoy your holiday weekend everyone. I’ll see you back here next week!
